ReadingUAE Immigration | Discontinuation of Residence Permit endorsements
The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in Dubai has, in line with its latest directives, confirmed that effective Monday 12th December 2022, the Emirates ID will replace the Residence Permit sticker endorsement in passports for applications processed in the Emirate of Dubai. From now on, all information in relation to the immigration status such as residency and employment will be indicated in an individual’s Emirates ID card / record.
