As seen with the United Kingdom (UK) and France recently, the emergence of new COVID-19 variants can result in new restrictions being enforced, even for fully vaccinated travellers. As a result, ongoing unpredictability and complexities around mobility continue to delay the gradual easing of entry/quarantine restrictions. In addition, many countries, including those with high vaccination rollout rates, are continuing to take a cautious approach to new variants.
