Something dawned on me last week. Despite not being in education for nearly 20 years (showing my age) I still see coming into July as almost an end - in some way - to another year. With the summer holidays coming up and that ever so familiar feeling that September is a ‘fresh start’… it’s funny how our mind works. You could argue we feel the same as we approach Christmas, or when we finally get those ‘year-end’ compensation reviews and share vest calculations done. However you think (and whether you’re a strange person like me), we all work with an ebb and flow were we ‘start afresh’ at one point or another, which in many ways is a good thing. It gives us a chance to put whatever has happened behind us and reset. I hope as we go into this summer season you have a chance to reset, come back fresh and ready to tackle what awaits you going forward.
