Agenda
Day 1
Networking and Refreshments
09:30 - 10:00
Arrive from 9:30 am to register and gain access to the Huddle to meet fellow Global Mobility professionals and enjoy some morning refreshments.
Welcome and Introductions
10:00 - 10:15
The Expat Academy team will kick things off with a warm welcome and a quick intro. We'll set the stage for an open, collaborative day where you can speak your mind and get real value.
Leadership Training - The Reframing Mindset - Part 1
10:15 - 11:15
How do you currently position Global Mobility's value? Through cost estimates and compliance? What if that's exactly what's keeping you tactical? In this provocative session, we'll explore how asking different questions can completely transform GM's strategic influence. Using real-world examples (including a fascinating story about speedometers), we'll uncover why the way you frame your work might be limiting your influence—and how leading organizations reframe the conversation entirely.
Networking Break
11:15 - 11:45
A chance to refuel and continue the conversations.
Leadership Training - The Reframing Mindset - Part 2
11:45 - 12:45
Time to put theory into practice. Through interactive exercises, you'll practice reframing real stakeholder conversations—transforming "What's the cost estimate?" into strategic discussions about talent development and business impact. Work in small groups to tackle actual scenarios from your world and leave with concrete language you can use on tomorrow.
Lunch
12:45 - 13:45
Counselling Corner
13:45 - 14:30
Influenced by attendees on the day, we will break out into topical groups and learn from each other, the experts, and if need be, we’ll get you some contacts to take away to continue the discussions further! Attendees will be contacted closer to the time to see what they want to discuss to match the content of the session to the needs of those joining us!
Strategic compensation considerations for Global Talent Transfers: Home and Host-based packages
14:30 - 15:15
A successful international transfer starts with a compensation strategy that supports your company’s broader workforce goals. Wages and living costs vary greatly across locations. Understanding how these factors combine is critical to making informed decisions.
In this session, we will:
- Explore home and host compensation approaches and understand when to apply each in the current environment.
- Align talent strategies with the right compensation models to support desired outcomes.
- Leverage the concept of compensation affinity to strengthen strategic recommendations.
- Analyse real-world compensation challenges through scenarios, with insights you can apply immediately.
You will leave with actionable steps for what to start, stop, and continue doing to enhance your strategic compensation skills.
Networking Break
15:15 - 15:45
A chance to refuel and continue the conversations.
Corporate Updates and Hot Potatoes
15:45 - 16:30
Hear real-world updates from fellow members going through challenges, successes, and learn how they are navigating them. We'll also tackle any 'hot potato' questions attendees don't want to hold onto!
Perspective Playground
16:30 - 17:00
Get ready to have your perspectives stretched and assumptions challenged in this interactive Huddle session! We'll tackle (each other!) on the generational expectation differences within Global Mobility! You'll challenge fellow attendees in an avantgarde format that pushes us out of conventional thinking through spirited exchanges to strengthen your critical thinking. The session will leave you with new perspectives regarding GM's toughest trade-offs. Join us as we dispel one-track notions and advance as strategic, whole-minded mobility leaders!
Wrap Up & Networking Drinks
17:00 - 18:30
After a few short updates from the Expat Academy team about your membership benefits, join us for some networking drinks where the real conversations happen!

Testimonials
An Expat Academy membership is just what every Global Mobility professional needs! It has so much to offer ranging from networking, learning about several topics and GM trends, benchmarking and gaining different peer perspectives, to the strategic input of the ever-supportive core team who check-in regularly to help with any challenge(s) being faced.
I have personally been part of this community since 2019 and am glad to have continued to be the beneficiary of its offerings even when I switched employers.
Riddhi Ravishekar
Thank you so much for organizing the event; it was amazing! It was fabulous! I've been telling my colleagues about it and hope to attend next time with more people from Rituals. You gathered wonderful people, as always!
Kirill Aksenov
This was the most inspirational and value-added network event I have attended! Great and professional representatives from Expat Academy. Greg provided new angles and a fresh approach to common issues for a Global Mobility professional - reframing is the new black. Great participants who generously shared experiences and best praxis. I was also very impressed by Expat Academy´s content and offer. I look forward to the next huddle and becoming an Expat Academy member!

Thank you for organizing the first Nordic Network Huddle - and for choosing Danfoss as the host for this first session. Appreciate the perspectives you brought on the reframing of challenging mobility areas and the use of the speedometer to assess where efforts create the most value versus risk. This sparked great reflections and engaging conversations. Overall, it was a very inspiring event with strong peer exchange, and we’re glad to be part of the Expat Academy network. We look forward to continuing the dialogue in future huddles.

The event was thoughtfully organized, and I truly appreciated the questions and insights shared. I came away with a fresh perspective, especially on how reframing our questions can better drive achievement and success in our projects

An exceptionally well organized and engaging Huddle. The agenda struck a strong balance between structured updates on the Middle East and open discussions about vendors, tech and policies, allowing both clarity and collaboration. The inclusion of storytelling added a valuable human dimension - bringing real experiences to life and making the content more relatable and memorable. The focus on reframing (What would Disney do?) challenged us to look at familiar topics from new perspectives. This shift of thinking encourages more innovative, solutionoriented approaches and will undoubtedly influence how we navigate future Global Mobility. Overall, it was a highly effective huddle that fostered knowledge, sharing connection and engagement across the participants. Looking forward to future huddles.

Great facilitation and open questions driving you to think outside the box in comparison to other workshops I have participated in. The list of companies was also diverse and quite good to see new faces vs. the typical events with the DK headquartered companies that always participate in Copenhagen. Very positive.
Desislava Vasileva Chovanska-Jaegerfeldt
The event was great, good networking opportunities, and thought provoking discussions. The format was great, both with training sessions and interactive sessions. I liked it a lot.
Raluca Raducanu

Teresa Vesterlund
I attended the first ever Nordic Network Huddle in Copenhagen. It was a great event with a lot of structured interaction with the other + 25 participants. After Greg had presentation a subject we were divided into smaller groups in which we had engaging short discussions about the subject, this was the set up of the day which made it very interactive. I will definitively try to join future events.
