What happens on 31 October in the event of no-deal?
Much has been made in the media this week about the Government’s intention to end freedom of movement on 31 October.
Whilst the legal position surrounding a no-deal Brexit remains unchanged by the communications coming from Government, there is a clear change in tone from the May administration.
Moreover, the previous Government’s commitment to a transitional arrangement to the end of 2020 with a European Temporary Leave to Remain scheme appears to have been abandoned.
